Doc on Persian carpet to join 3 fests

Iranian documentary ‘Weavers of Imagination’ themed on magnificent Persian carpet is set to appear in three international festivals in Lebanon and the US.

Directed by Seyed Mohammad-Sadiq Jafari, the flick will be screened at the second edition of Beirut International Women Film Festival in Lebanon to be held March 13-18, 2018.

The doc is the select work at two US-based film festivals in New York City as well as American state of New Jersey in March.

‘Weavers of Imagination’ depicts the story of some visually despaired people who make a carpet while sharing happy moments of blissful gatherings. They weave intricately patterned carpets using Braille.

‘Weavers of Imagination’ has participated in India’s Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, Michigan’s Sunrise 45 Film Festival and Oklahoma’s Norman Film Festival.

The notable flick won two noms for award ceremonies in Lithuania and Italy. Last September, ‘Weavers of Imagination’ competed at 5th Zlatna International Ethnographic Film Festival in Romania.
